The Wachusett Reservoir dramatically changed the landscape of West Boylston, Clinton, Boylston and Sterling.

The people in these towns were actually lucky compared to the folks a little further west. When Massachusetts built the Quabbin Reservoir, some of the small towns in its path completely ceased to exist.
