I hadn't seen the Virzis since LoneStarCon - Maddy has really grown as you might imagine, and had been tapped to be Teddy Harvia's designated Hugo acceptor. The man behind Pat is Detroit fan Cy Chauvin, who looks a little like Dennis Virzi (who was home in Texas over Worldcon).
