Pittsburgh Beer Dinner Returnees - JJ Walton, Stephen Segal, Jim
Mann and Stu Segal
JJ, Jim, Ann Cecil and I did our Google-searching and found an interesting-sounding brewpub near the Royal York called C'est What. Just as we were getting ready to go to dinner, Stephen and (his father) Stu Segal stopped by the Green Room and we invited them along. Stephen is the managing editor of Pittsburgh Magazine now; we owed excellent media coverage the 1999 Nebulas had gotten from the late-lamented In Pittsburgh to his fine writing and interest in the field. The Segals have been going to Worldcons since MilPhil and plan to be in Boston next summer.
The food was pretty good at C'est What, and the beer was excellent. Other fans wandered into the restaurant as the evening progressed.
