Confluence is a small SF convention at the brink of Midwest and East coast fandom. Confluence takes the best from both worlds - a good mix of interesting program and one of the most inviting con suites you'll find anywhere. And we knew years ago that there was life on Mars... ;-> (Even though we've since moved to the vicinity of Moon...)
Information on the next Confluence.
Here are some pictures from Confluence 1996:
This year's slogan, "Forged in Iron," rendered as an ice sculpture in the con suite.
PARSEC and Confluence's founder, Ann Cecil with author Gene Wolfe.
Xavier stopped by, visiting from CMU, with his handler Greg Armstrong.
Leslie Mann as a tribble trader.
Marge & Bob, the people responsible for our great con suite.
Dr. George Gatewood, one of the astronomers at Allegheny Observatory, who helped to discover planets beyond our own solar system.
Sasha Riley, Matt Sands and Leslie Mann, typical fannish teens. (No, I did not retouch Matt's eyes...) |
